David & Goliath

The T evangelist arrived Thursday with two friends, one is a young man, the other is a missionary. M speaks English very well and hit it off immediately with Grant. They hung out all day, and while the others spoke T, Grant and M were really getting to know each other! Grant even introduced him to Christian rap…oh dear!
M is a very happy, very positive young man. He became a Christian 3 years ago and said, “Since I became a Christian, I have not had one bad day!” He was such a joy to be around…as you can tell in the picture!
There were some people to show up to hear the evangelist that night, all were believers. That’s ok though, I’m sure they were encouraged by what he had to say.
Friday the team had a really neat opportunity. In the main part of downtown Frankfurt there is a huge statue of David and Goliath (the picture I posted). The problem is that no one in town really knows what it is. There is no sign or plaque or anything. So, as an evangelism tool, one of the missionaries typed up a brochure about the story of David and Goliath and included the gospel. They stand out there from time to time and hand out the brochures. It is an amazing opportunity because people then know what the statue means, and are introduced to who Jesus is. Hopefully each time they walk by the statue after that they are reminded of that man they heard about. This Friday the gospel was shared with many people and the team prayed with people, too. Praise You Lord!
