Tonight was a good night. No, it was a great night. We took 19 kiddos to church, 7 had never been before.
God is softening hearts of kids and adults in this place. Grant is having some awesome conversations on a daily basis with some men in this neighborhood that shows God is convicting in the areas of addiction.
One particular man came up to Grant while we were in the yard and told him he hated going to church because all people do there is judge others. But he said he knows that Grant won’t and doesn’t judge, so next time he has a problem he will come talk to Grant instead of drinking alcohol to cover up his troubles. Then before he left he let his guard down and gave the tightest, most sincere hug Grant has ever received. Praise God that there is an outlet for people. Praise God that the church is mobile and can go to people. It can meet people where they are…in the midst of their addictions.
“As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!'” Romans 10:15
Your feet are beautiful, too, friends! You can be the salt and light just like we are. Is there someone you work with or live next to that needs you to be the real display of Jesus in their lives? They have been hurt by a judgmental church and need you to be a true display of a nonjudgmental Jesus that loves them no matter what.
And one last thought. This picture is worth a thousand words. This kiddo is changing before our eyes and we owe it all to God. You don’t even know.
