The Heavenly Banquet: Part Dos

I am thankful. I have lots to be thankful for. My list probably sounds a lot like yours, because we are a blessed people. But Wednesday night as I watched God’s people come together to serve their fellow man, I became more thankful.

I got to see a glimpse of the Heavenly Table last night as hundreds of people came together for a Thanksgiving Meal for Countryside at Brooklyn Springs Elementary School. People came to serve, to clean, and to Love. Others came with hungry bellies and hungry hearts. When all was said and done, we were all a little more thankful. We saw God’s people join together in a beautiful picture of service. We praised in song, the God from whom our blessings flow. We heard the clear message preached that God wants to meet you where you are and draw you close to His loving, protective side. We saw prayers raised with many who requested it during the invitation. We saw tears stream down cheeks as God worked His wondrous ways in hearts.

Because I can’t accurately explain the thickness of the Holy Spirit in that cafeteria and the Joy that was there, I leave you with pictures. Thank you for your prayers, your donations, your service, and your support. I feel certain God was pleased.

  1. Oh Amber how wonderful to see the pictures and read how God is working there. Reading your blog, I felt like I was there helping serve and singing and worshipping along with you. God bless you and Grant in all that you do.
    Love,

  2. Praise God!! The pictures tell the story of how God is working through you to reach others with His love. Keith Trawick
