I am here to report another busy and fun day at Camp Countryside. More kiddos showed up today, along with a handful that I have never seen before. Yay!
Today was salvation bracelet day. Each child heard how important they are to Christ–important enough that He would die for them. Pray that they think about that in the coming days and ask lots of questions tomorrow!
Praise abounded as we saw adults come to hang out and play football, then New Hope Youth came to play and brought ice cold watermelon! What a relief it was on such a hot day.
We all are exhausted but blessed and challenged and changed. The Alabama group is headed to First Baptist Lincolnton (NC) to a Youth Block Party. A mutual friend and youth pastor, Graham, now serves there as Youth Pastor. Graham, Grant, and Stephen (Bama Youth Pastor/Formerly Rockwell FBC Youth Pastor) worked together a lot when all three were in the Salisbury area. All three have been called other places, so this is a great opportunity to serve together in this way once again. Graham had planned a huge event that “just so happens” to be when the Alabama group is here. (God certainly knew it was going to happen this way!) Since the drive is not too far, all parties agreed it would be a fun night out for the group. AND a handful of middle/high schoolers from Countryside went along for the ride! Pray that they hear the Gospel tonight and it penetrates their heart!
And the group probably appreciates a little downtime on the bus so they can nap!
Since I’m so worn out, I’m gonna leave you with a list of blogs so you can catch up–if you have no earthly idea what I’m talking about so far, and also a bunch of pictures. They speak louder than words anyways I hear.
