Summer Recap {Alabama}

1 Comment

The summer has quickly gotten away from us. I wonder if it’s just here in Countryside, or if you feel the same? Has it gone by SO fast for you too??

It seems like just last week we were hosting the fabulous group from Sylacauga, Alabama. I guess it’s a good sign that they came last summer and decided to come back this summer. It’s neat to see the same folks year after year, serving alongside you and remembering the kiddos they made connections with last year. The kiddos also remembered the faces from Alabama and I think that made them feel more comfortable this year.

Alabama kicked off the summer nicely with mission projects in the morning and Bible Camp at Countryside in the afternoons. We enjoyed going back to their lodging quarters at Immanuel Baptist each night and worshipping and fellowshipping with them. At the end of the week, they surprised the Countryside kiddos with a foam party. They were unsure about all the bubbles at first, but it didn’t take long for them to jump right in and have a blast! Here are a few pics to enjoy from their week.
