Let’s see. Where were we?
Alabama. That’s right.
I’m sure you have all been sitting on the edge of your seat wondering what in the world the Alabama team did on their last days here! Did they ever leave? Did they go home early and I didn’t want to tell you? Why, oh why, were you left in such suspense and WHY has it taken me three weeks to finish this blog???
My bad. I’ve been busy.
But finally there is time and today is the day to tell you how we finished our week with the Alabama team. (You can read about days 1 & 2 here and here.)
The team continued to prayer walk and plead to God for movement and workers to step up in these unreached neighborhoods.
They also continued to reach out to our neighbors in Countryside to love on them.
The last day, they held a Block Party in the new neighborhood and we had great opportunities to speak to many new people and show them the love of Jesus.
The night before they left they had a sharing and reflection time. A common theme that was repeated over and over was that they wanted to do this same thing in Sylacauga. They wanted to be a Connection to their neighbors and the church. They wanted to share Jesus as easily there as they did here.
We were encouraged by that and encouraged them to be bold in moving forward with what God was showing them.
We are always blessed to work with this team. May their neighborhoods in Sylacauga be as blessed as ours in Lancaster were.
Until next year Sylacauga,
